Life is Fantastic

I want to say enjoy the high because it's always short-lived but I have had the most fantastic day in my whole life.

This morning, I was on the Cuzin Eddie Show with co-host Penny Sansevieri. I was nervous as all get out, but I made it through and if I can remember right, it was pretty smooth sailing. They were excellent hosts and they made me feel so at ease.

But, anyway, this morning, I checked the stats at Amazon for my book, Romancing the Soul, and they were over 700,000. I just checked them a few minutes ago and they're at 76,707. Now that does a body good.

Radio promotion really does work!

However, that's not all.

I had another agency request a partial of my hen lit. My poor little hen lit is coming back to life.
However, this time I really am prepared for the worse. I've been turned down by two agents and this one is even a bigger agency, so you know what that means.

But, anyway, I can enjoy the moment.

Ah...life is freaking good.

  1. Congratulations, Kathy!!! I wish I could feel the excitement...after two have already turned me down, I knew I had to do some serious thinking about this. I am going with a different approach in my first chapter and hopefully I can figure this crazy thing out. Every one of the editors so far have been young and I don't think that they've gotten a grasp of what hen lit is all about. Also, let's say a young editor/agent is reading your book..something has to stand out above the rest and still have to keep that hen lit feel. It's crazy trying to figure it out. Anyway, I'm rewriting my first chapter before I send it. I could tell that my other first chapter really didn't tell a darn thing about what this woman's mission was and I'm thinking that I should have included that. Anyway, back to writing...;o)

  2. Congrats, Dorothy, on the request. And the publicity. (And Hi. My name is Melanie. And I'm an Amazonaholic, too.)
