My son came over tonight and he finally showed me how to download pictures from my camera to the PC so...now I can show you where I live! This picture below was taken from the second floor balcony. The street going to the left leads you down to the marina.
And as you see, there's lots of boat traffic...behind the boat is my dock...can you see it?
Here's a better picture of the dock...this actually was taken last Thursday night when I found out I didn't have to work. I leashed up Max and we strolling down to the end to watch the sunset...
I don't know if you can see this but there are two benches - one to the left and one to the right. I sat down on the one to the right and turned my camera on the neighbor's dock and this is what that looked like...
Water was so calm and peaceful...hard to break away from this to go to work! Below we're finding the sun slowly setting...
Look at those clouds, baby. Tomorrow, I'll take more pictures, but at least this shows you a little something. Oh, one more...I was standing on the dock, turned around and took a picture of the condo. We're right smack in the middle...
I'll have more pictures now that I've learned how to download them. But, now do you see why it's so hard to work and not play?
I'm going to download one more thing and not sure if it's going to work, but I tried to get some video footage..it's real short so we'll see if it's worth showing or not. This was taken from the 3rd floor, from my daughter's bedroom balcony. My son hates to have his picture taken...can you guess? The sound you hear are my doggies panting...I was wondering that myself when I heard it!
totally awesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Becky! If you click on them, you get a bigger picture. Some of them I don't think are as clear as I'd like them to be. Anyone have any suggestions for a better camera? This is a little camera my daughter gave me for Christmas - an HP Photosmart. I'd really like to take some awesome pictures...anyone have any suggestions for a better camera?
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to hold my green eyed monster at bay, but man do I wish I were you right now.
ReplyDeleteLovely peace of heaven ya got there.
Cheryl
And I told you I would love for you to come see me woman! Picture this..margaritas, sunset, gulls screaming, boats passing, warm breezes lying in the hammock type of days...you know you want to. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWOW - you got some extra rooms, lol! We live very near Lake Michigan (about 10 blocks) and I would be lost without the water. I pity people that don't live close to water, it keeps me going sometimes. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Tracee...I sure do have extra room...come on over! You know, it's strange. I love the mountains and I still love the mountains but that was before I ever got a chance to live on the water and I so know what you are talking about...it's a sanctuary of sorts...nothing better than to come home after being on my feet all day and sit on the bench on my balcony and watch the sun go down. That is, if I'm not flying upstairs to work on tours before it's down, lol...which is often the case unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThose are really pretty photos. I need to do a day trip up your way soon
ReplyDeleteHi Autumn! That would be wonderful! Have you moved yet?
ReplyDeleteawesome pics. Ah, to lie on the hammock watching those killer sunsets, drink in hand. LOL. good news on my end is I SOLD MY HOUSE!!! Yeah! I am headed to salisbury tomorrow for ten days, house hunting, or apt hunting. make sure I have good weather, okay?!
ReplyDeleteI like your place and can see why you like it so well. As to your question about what camera to look for, I like digital single lens reflex (D-SLR) type cameras. There are models made by many different companies and some of them now start as low as $500 or so. You will also want to get some photo editing software, such as Photoshop Elements (my favorite.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Best wishes for a wonderful day! Sure have missed you, been so darned busy.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of the sunset over water. Ah... water... We'll be going to Disneyland and Newport Beach in a few weeks. We'll probably be doing this often. :) Can't wait!
