Taking a breather from tour coordinating...whew, been at it since I got back home from the Smoky Mountains last Thursday night. I thought I'd go on and send a few pictures through so you can see what they look like. I did a lot of griping the last two posts, so this time I'll show you just how beautiful these mountains are. Click on either of these pictures and it'll blow up so you can see them better.
That is a beautiful place. Your mountains look so different to me with mostly deciduous trees and leaves as opposed to our evergreens with their needles. And round tops on the mountains rather than coming to points. I guess that geologically yours are older than ours and have been rounded over the years by wind. I'll soon have a post up with some of the peaks in our north Cascade range but they are mostly above the tree line so still in snow (taken on May 18th.)
ReplyDeleteIsn't that interesting, Dick, and something I hadn't thought about. Looking forward to your pictures! We went to Ocean City, Maryland, today and took some pictures. Guess they'll be the next I'll be loading.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I think I have been in some of those exact spots. One of these days I want to get back there. Right now I am Gettysburg Crazy, but maybe next summer we will do the mountain thing agian. I need a bit more money before we can go to TN
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I'd love to get away, but this year's vacation will be visiting more civilization. We'll have fun, but I look at your photos and just sigh.
